Abraham Chapman Family

In 1768, Abraham Chapman obtained two surveys in old Nby District. These included a 100 acre survey on east side of Camping Cr. and a 47 acre tract near St. John's Church on Crims Cr. Abraham Chapman made will 1 June 1808 (Nby Deeds D-319). The will gave the 47 acre tract to wife, Ann Elizabeth, during her life and described the land as "where I now live." The 100 acre tract near Camping Cr. was by LWT left to daus: Catherine Fulmer, Mary Lever, Elizabeth Kinard, Margaret Folmer, and to John Houseal, s/o deceased dau., Christine Litsay.

Abraham Chapman d. 23 Sept 1808, m. Ann Elizabeth Herring who came to SC as a single woman in 1766 on the Brittania. Abraham Chapman is buried at St. John's Church, Pomaria, SC.
