John Fellers Family

The earliest record of the Fellers family in the Dutch Fork is the 100 acre survey of 1762 for John Feylor on waters of Cannons Creek, west of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pomaria, SC. Fellers sold this land in 1764 to Adam Summer (Memorials 6:270).  John Fellers settled near St. Paul's Church and in 1765, bought half of a 250 acre bounty grant from Henry Seithman on headwaters of Crim's Creek (Memorials 9:195).

In 1772,  John Feller had a 300 acre grant surveyed in two tracts: 41 acres adjacent the land bought in 1765; and 259 acres on a branch of Buffalo Creek.   In 1794, John Feller released parts of the Buffalo Creek land to Jacob and Mary Utz (Newberry Deeds K-343 and 345).

John Fellers made will 12 July 1793, proven 7 July 1800, naming children: John George; Catherina, wife of Henry Counts; Anna Marie, wife of Jacob Uts; Margretha Dominick; and Christina Fellers (Newberry Wills C-56).
