Thomas Smith Family

In 1748, Thomas Smith obtained a bounty survey of 150 acres on High Hill Cr. An adjacent survey of 60 acres was obtained by Thomas Smith in 1787. These lands came down through the son, Thomas Smith, and later owned by Jacob Smith, who deeded over to John S. Smith, Jr. (Lexington Deeds S-592).

Thomas Smith married Catherine Harmon, born about 1743, daughter of Melchior Herman (Harmon). The LWT of John Leonard Harmon, made 1789, names executors as brother, Jacob Harmon, and brother-in-law, Thomas Smith (Nby Wills A-227, Nby Estates #356-39). Thomas Smith died before execution of the will in 1794.
