m. 3) 18 May 1826, Nancy Anna (Annie) Weed. Jesse and Annie & several
children are buried under the waters of Lake Murray, in cemetery #150 Coogler Graveyard. (Lake Murray Cemetery Records, property
of Backman Amick at time of Lake Murray development).
Jesse's second wife could have been a Bickley, he owned land formerly owned by
Jacob Bickley; also mentioned the Bounty land in his will.

the Bear Creek area to the Black Creek area in 1845. Both bur. at Bethlehem
(Black Creek) Lutheran Church, Leesville, SC. (Obituary: Wednesday,
November 15, 1893, The Lexington Dispatch, Lexington, South Carolina - Mr. Dave
McCarthy one of our best and most respected citizens and a christian
gentleman, died at his home, in Gilbert Hollow township on the 16th of October,
in the 75th year of his age. He had been blind for the last two years.)

this being a d/o Jesse McCartha, however, she would
be within the age bracket to a sister of Michael and John David. It is possible
that the pronunciation was not clear (Can anyone clarify?)
