Dutch Fork Chapter Reunion Update

We held a Chapter Executive Committee Meeting today and made a decision on the October 16, Dutch Fork Reunion. The Reunion highlighting the end of WWII will be held at Little Mountain reunion Park. We have a few changes to the day's events to be safer. The Location is outside under the large Picnic Shelter in the park, While there are picnic tables we recommend bringing a lawn chair for more comfort and easier social distancing. Masks will be required when within the 6 foot range. You may want a jacket depending on the weather and this year we ask each attendee to bring their own lunch. We have canceled this program 3 times already and the speakers have hung in there with us. Since this was set up to recognize the 75th anniversary of the ending of WWII we felt we needed to put this program on. Also do not forget Friday night in the Reunion Park, October 15 will be the Hauntings and Murders of the Dutch Fork at 7, 8 and 9 pm. The first one is more kid friendly than the later ones 🙂 See you all in a month. The other thing is since you will bring your lunch there will be no charge for this event. Those who have paid will be reimbursed, Just to have an idea of numbers we would love to know if you plan to attend. The Chapter will absorb the Speaker and park fees for this event.

NOTICE: It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to one of our charter members, Shirley Trotter. She was a charter member of the Dutch Fork Genealogical Society holding the position of newspaper editor for over twenty years. Also holding chapter secretary, cemetery committee and chapter representative to the SCGS positions.

She was also our main contact for ordering the publications, and we will be updating the contact info ASAP.  For now please send book inquiries to: Sue Eleazer
